So I always suggest, learn what you got first before you go into QuickBooks Advanced. The QuickBooks Advanced, itself, actually handles more of the tech or even some of the other general style stuff that you have. If you need something very basic and very standard, like you're running a hot dog stand or something, maybe QuickBooks Advanced would be beneficial to you with a lower level. One thing I always question people when they do get that, is you got to understand your need and what you have. everything you need to know.įor people who always want to get ahead in the business and have something that is industry standard or recommended, I would suggest going QuickBooks Advanced, because QuickBooks Advanced actually handles a lot of the jobs that you rarely get out of other programs. And then this will let you know, this is all the product of the hot dog from the Worcester sauce to your. This thing just lets you know, hey, this is all the stuff on the side of your hot dogs. You got to get the condiments, you got to get the ketchup and everything else. What do I mean by chart of accounts? I mean, if you basically have your sales, you're selling hot dogs, you need to go get your product for your hot dogs. Everything else is just add-on and service-wise of chart of accounts. All you really need to know is your bank account, your business information, and also, it's going to ask you for your address. So getting started with QuickBooks Advanced, it's pretty standard and pretty easy. And then you talk to the tax guy and go, "So how much did I get in taxes?" And he goes, "This is what you're going to get." And then you both go, "Yeah." And then they give you both a high five. This thing takes care of all the books of everything going on from your ledgers to your account payable to your account receivable. Sometimes they're two different people and you got to talk to two different people, so you look at the program just like two different people. When you use QuickBooks, it's almost like you actually have your bookkeeper and your accountant right there with you.
So, I basically went over to QuickBooks, because I've used it before, back in the days with Quicken, and it did everything I needed, what I wanted. And unfortunately, both of them were not complimenting what I needed to do. I was actually using Google Spreadsheet or Microsoft Excel, and I was also using what they call Sage systems.
